FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. — A tragic single-vehicle accident on US 23 North in the Dwale area has claimed the life of Opal Marie Patrick, 29, of Hazard, authorities confirmed. The crash occurred near mile marker 11 when the vehicle reportedly rolled over, resulting in Patrick’s death at the scene.
Floyd County Coroner Gregg Nelson confirmed the fatality, stating that the circumstances surrounding the accident are still under investigation. No other injuries have been reported.
