Royal Oak, Michigan — In the early hours of Friday, burglars broke into Hype House, a luxury clothing boutique located at 212 W. Eleven Mile Road, making off with an estimated $250,000 in designer merchandise and accessories. The bold theft has left both the store owner and local law enforcement reeling.

According to store officials, the heist occurred just after midnight, with thieves gaining entry by shattering a boarded-up rear window and disabling the shop’s alarm system. 
Security video footage obtained by investigators shows three masked individuals inside the store, fanning out through display racks. The stolen items included high-end labels such as Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga, Jordan, Nike, Cartier, and fine jewelry. 
Despite the store placing an emergency call at 1:53 a.m., police arrived within a minute—but by then, the culprits had vanished with no obvious vehicle captured on camera. 
Patterns of Repeat Attacks
This is not the first time Hype House has been targeted. The owner revealed that the store has already suffered five break-ins since June 2024. 
He expressed frustration over the frequency of attacks and urged city and police officials to step up security support. “We’re bleeding merchandise,” he said, adding that he wants the spree to stop before irreversible damage is done to his business. 
Investigation Underway
Royal Oak Police have launched a full investigation, gathering surveillance footage, interviewing neighbors, and canvassing for witnesses. They are especially interested in any activity near the rear of the building or vehicles loitering in nearby alleys around the time of the break-in.
