The Houston Police Department is mourning the tragic death of Senior Police Officer Alex Roberts, who was killed Wednesday evening in a head-on collision while serving in the line of duty.
According to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred along Highway 287 as Officer Roberts escorted a vehicle on his police motorcycle. During the operation, another vehicle struck him in a devastating collision. Emergency crews rushed to the scene, but Roberts succumbed to his injuries.
