Officers were dispatched to the Taylor Ridge Apartments on Regal Drive around 11:21 p.m. following reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they discovered 33-year-old Daylon Bradford outside the complex suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

According to investigators, a man and woman fled into nearby woods after the shooting. Police established a perimeter and deployed K-9 units and drones in the search. Between 1:20 and 1:30 a.m., additional gunfire was heard, prompting a SWAT team response. Shortly before 3 a.m., drones detected heat signatures in the woods, where officers found two people dead.

The deceased were identified as 34-year-old Donald Bryant, believed to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and 24-year-old Heavan Glison, a single mother of two. Authorities noted that Glison was no longer engaged to Bryant at the time of the incident, though their relationship remains under investigation.

No officers were injured during the standoff. Police are still piecing together the circumstances leading up to the shooting and are urging the public to help locate a 1992 two-door white Honda Prelude with a black hood and Kentucky license plate SOG 514, which is believed to be connected to the case.
