The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to the scene on the city’s south side, at the 200 block of East Troy Avenue, around 6:46 a.m., where Kavanaugh was found critically injured inside a building.

Emergency responders immediately transported Kavanaugh to a nearby hospital, where medical personnel worked to save her life. Despite their efforts, her injuries proved fatal, and she was pronounced dead later that morning. The Marion County Coroner’s Office confirmed her identity on Monday, confirming the heartbreaking loss to family, friends, and the broader Indianapolis community.
