Isaac Sissel, a 25-year-old Ann Arbor, Michigan resident, has been charged with issuing a threatening communication, according to United States Attorney Dawn N. Ison. Sissel allegedly posted an online message on November 2, 2024, threatening to carry out an attack against conservative Christians if Donald Trump wins the election, claiming to possess a stolen AR-15 rifle.
The message stated, “I shall carry out an attack against conservative Christian filth in the event Trump wins the election. I have a stolen AR-15 and a target I refuse to name so I can continue to get away with my plans.” Sissel was arrested by the FBI and is expected to appear in federal court to face charges.
The FBI Detroit Field Office is investigating the case to gather more details on Sissel’s plans and potential threats. This incident highlights the FBI’s commitment to addressing security threats, especially those targeting specific communities based on political outcomes.
