The incident occurred around 2:25 a.m., when Walker was driving his 2018 Jeep eastbound in the westbound lanes. New York State Police had been tracking the wrong-way vehicle for roughly 12 miles, trying to intercept it safely, but the situation ended with a catastrophic collision between Walker’s Jeep and a 2018 Ford pickup truck.
