Jacksonville, FL – A 17-year-old has been taken into custody following a deadly domestic incident that claimed the life of his father on the city’s Westside, authorities announced Wednesday.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) responded to reports of a stabbing at a residence on Wheeler Avenue near Blanding Boulevard around 7 p.m. on December 2, 2025. Upon arrival, officers discovered 42-year-old Jervas Williams suffering from multiple stab wounds. Despite efforts by first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Their efforts led to the identification of the victim’s son, Syr Williams, as the perpetrator.
