KANSAS CITY, Mo. — William Lee Peek, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend known throughout the Kansas City community for his unwavering positivity and generosity, passed away on December 2 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 56.

Born and raised in Kansas City, Peek was deeply committed to his family. Friends describe him as the cornerstone of his household—a patient father and a doting grandfather who found his greatest joy in simple moments with his loved ones.
“He lived for family dinners, backyard ball games with the grandkids, and being present for every important moment,” said his wife, Eleanor Peek. “He believed our time and attention were the greatest gifts we could give.”
Beyond his home, Peek was known as the neighbor who could always be counted on. Whether helping with a home repair, offering encouragement during a tough time, or simply sharing his infectious smile, he built a reputation for quiet, steadfast kindness.
