
A Kansas community is reeling from the heartbreaking loss of a young family of three, who tragically died in a crash early Monday morning, November 10, 2025. The incident occurred northwest of Neodesha on Granby Avenue, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
Authorities say 21-year-old Adam Brooks was driving west when he failed to stop at a stop sign at the junction of U.S. Highway 400. His vehicle collided with an oncoming semi-truck, resulting in a crash that claimed the lives of Adam, his wife Kylie Brooks, also 21, and their 2-year-old son, Kohen Brooks.
Kylie was pronounced dead at the scene, while Adam was rushed to Wilson Medical Center, where he died around 8:00 a.m. Little Kohen, who was airlifted to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, tragically passed away an hour later from his injuries. Authorities confirmed that none of the family members were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. The driver of the semi-truck was unharmed.
The Brooks family, remembered as devoted parents and loving partners, were known for their deep bond and their joyful, bright son. Neighbors and friends have expressed their shock and sorrow at the loss of a family that had so much promise and love ahead of them.
