Sterling Township, OH — Authorities are investigating a tragic hit-and-run incident that resulted in the death of 30-year-old Georgetown woman Kerstin Walker. The incident occurred on the evening of November 5, 2025, when Walker was struck while walking along State Route 286 near Upper Five Mile Road in Sterling Township. She later succumbed to her injuries on November 11 at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP), the collision occurred around 8:21 p.m. when a vehicle struck Walker and then fled the scene. Emergency responders found her lying on the roadside with severe injuries and quickly transported her by Air Care to the hospital. Despite medical efforts, Walker passed away from her injuries six days later.

OSHP investigators have been working to identify the vehicle and driver responsible for the fatal hit-and-run. At the scene, authorities recovered a vehicle side mirror, which is believed to have come from a Chevrolet or GMC full-size pickup truck. Based on this evidence, investigators suspect the vehicle may have significant damage to its passenger side and could be missing a mirror.
The OSHP is actively reviewing surveillance footage from nearby homes and businesses, as well as interviewing potential witnesses. Authorities are asking anyone who may have seen a pickup truck matching the description or observed anything unusual around the time of the crash to come forward.
