
A late-night attack at a popular La Horquetta food spot has left the community shaken, as authorities confirm that 27-year-old David Pascal has died from injuries sustained during the incident.
Pascal, who lived in Kamaluddin Mohammed Phase 2, was working at Terrel’s Stop and Eat on De Freitas Boulevard when gunfire erupted around 11 p.m. on Saturday, December 6. He was rushed to the Arima Health Facility and later transferred to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, where he passed away on Sunday.
According to officials, officers on mobile patrol received a report of a shooting at approximately 11:10 p.m. When they arrived minutes later, they found signs of the incident inside and around the establishment, including several shell casings. The area was secured as investigators began processing the scene.
Witnesses reported hearing a series of loud blasts shortly before Pascal was discovered with serious injuries. Police say he was quickly transported for emergency care, but despite medical efforts, he did not survive.
Crime Scene Investigators later recovered several 9mm casings as part of the ongoing inquiry. Detectives are now working to piece together what led to the attack and who may be responsible.
