Authorities have identified the motorcyclist killed in a Saturday night crash in Lakewood as 33-year-old Anthony Ferrentino.

The collision occurred at the intersection of Shorrock Street and Four Seasons, where police reported that Ferrentino’s motorcycle ran a red light and struck an SUV. Emergency responders arrived quickly, but he could not be saved.
Ferrentino, a 2010 graduate of Toms River High School North, was a standout athlete who played varsity baseball. His obituary describes him as a passionate and energetic individual, remembered fondly by those who knew him.
Family and friends are preparing to honor his life at funeral services scheduled for next week, as the community mourns the sudden loss of a young man whose life ended far too soon.
