Laredo authorities are investigating a deadly auto-pedestrian crash that claimed the life of 33-year-old Sebastian Guerrero early Sunday morning, September 21, 2025.

Police say officers were called around 5:45 a.m. to the 4500 block of Interstate 35 southbound, where Guerrero was struck by a blue 2015 Toyota Prius. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators reported that the driver of the Prius stayed at the location and cooperated fully with law enforcement. No evidence of intoxication was found.
According to Laredo police, Guerrero was attempting to cross the expressway when the collision occurred. Officials noted that poor lighting in the area may have played a role in the tragedy.
The LPD Crash Team is continuing its investigation and has urged motorists and pedestrians alike to use extra caution along poorly lit sections of the interstate, especially during early-morning hours.
