Immonen’s passion for pool began in his youth and grew into a career that earned him international acclaim. Renowned for his calm composure under pressure—a trait that earned him the nickname “The Iceman”—he became one of the most respected and feared competitors on the global stage.
Over his illustrious career, Immonen claimed numerous titles, including the 2001 World Nine-Ball Championship and back-to-back U.S. Open Nine-Ball Championships in 2008 and 2009. His success spanned continents, with victories across Europe and Asia, solidifying his reputation as a dominant force in the sport. In recognition of his achievements and impact, he was inducted into the Billiard Congress of America (BCA) Hall of Fame in 2014.
