Louisiana State Police have identified Sarah Stone, 23, of Madisonville, as the victim of a deadly crash that occurred Friday morning, September 19, 2025, on La. 444 near Acosta Lane.
According to investigators, Stone was driving eastbound in a 2002 Honda Civic shortly before 9 a.m. when she failed to navigate a right-hand curve. Her vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with a tow truck traveling westbound.
Stone, who was properly restrained, tragically died at the scene. The tow truck driver, also wearing a seatbelt, suffered only minor injuries.
Authorities said impairment does not appear to have been a factor in the crash, though the investigation remains ongoing.
Friends, family, and community members are mourning Sarah’s sudden passing, remembering her as a vibrant young woman whose life, filled with promise and love, was cut far too short.
