Sydney, AU – A multi-vehicle crash on the M2 Motorway near North Epping caused significant traffic delays for citybound commuters on Tuesday morning.
The crash happened just past Beecroft Road around 6:47 a.m., prompting a swift response from emergency services and traffic crews. Initially, two of the three eastbound lanes were closed, leading to heavy congestion stretching back to Baulkham Hills.

Authorities later confirmed that all citybound lanes were temporarily shut down before one was reopened to ease the gridlock. As of the latest update, two lanes remain closed and traffic is still heavily impacted.
Motorists are being urged to allow extra travel time and consider alternate routes, including Pennant Hills Road, Carlingford Road, and Epping Road.
Traffic crews continue working at the scene to clear the wreckage and fully reopen the motorway.
