Camden, NJ — Authorities in Camden are investigating a deadly shooting that claimed the life of a 29-year-old man on Saturday afternoon, according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.
The tragic incident occurred around 1:50 p.m. on October 18, 2025, in the 1200 block of Morton Street. Officers were dispatched to the area following a ShotSpotter alert indicating gunfire. Upon arrival, police found an unresponsive man suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim, identified as Bruce Dixon of Camden, was rushed to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at approximately 2:04 p.m.
Detectives from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and the Camden County Police Department have opened a homicide investigation. So far, no arrests have been made, and authorities have not released details regarding possible suspects or motives.
