A tragic incident has shaken Lusaka’s Chaisa Compound after a 41-year-old man, identified as Inambao Inambao, was fatally stabbed by his friend’s lover following a heated confrontation over a secret affair.
According to local reports, the suspect, 27-year-old Beauty Namukanje, allegedly attacked Inambao after her boyfriend discovered she had been involved in a relationship with him. The confrontation reportedly turned violent when her enraged boyfriend confronted and assaulted her, prompting Namukanje to retaliate by stabbing Inambao.

Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga confirmed the incident, stating that officers have since apprehended and detained the suspect. “The body of the deceased has been taken to the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) mortuary where a postmortem will be conducted,” Hamoonga said.
Witnesses revealed that the trio had been sharing a room at the time of the incident, a situation that has left the community in disbelief.
Meanwhile, the deceased’s cousin, Hitler Habbwanyanga, has urged law enforcement authorities to ensure justice is served, describing the killing as a deeply painful and senseless act.
Police investigations into the matter are ongoing.
