Mobile Police are investigating a deadly shooting that claimed the life of a man in his 30s Wednesday evening on Persimmon Street.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire on the 100 block of Persimmon Street, where they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released the man’s name pending notification of his next of kin. No suspect is currently in custody.
Investigators continue to process the scene, interview witnesses, and gather evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Police are asking anyone with information to contact Mobile Police or Crime Stoppers.
