LINCOLN, Calif. — Tragedy struck Monday morning in Lincoln when a man lost his life in a violent collision at the intersection of Lincoln Boulevard and the Sterling Pointe shopping center entrance. Just after 10:00 a.m., an SUV and a tractor-trailer collided with devastating force. Emergency responders worked to extricate the SUV’s driver from the wreckage, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The tractor-trailer driver was unharmed, and no other occupants were in the SUV.
The Lincoln community was left in shock as northbound lanes of Lincoln Boulevard remained closed for over two hours while investigators examined the scene. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s name.
