Both victims were rushed to hospital, but despite the efforts of medical staff, the 27-year-old tragically died in the early hours of this morning. The 20-year-old remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Photos shared with MyLondon show police officers sealing off part of the estate with crime scene tape as forensics teams scour the area for evidence. Detectives are now piecing together the circumstances surrounding the deadly attack.

No arrests have yet been made, meaning the gunman remains at large. A heavy police presence continues at the scene, with officers carrying out house-to-house enquiries and stepping up patrols in the area.

The Metropolitan Police has appealed to anyone with information to come forward. A spokesperson said: “If you have any information that could help this investigation, please call police on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously.”
