Authorities in West Palm Beach have launched a large-scale manhunt for 22-year-old Emmanuel Keevon Dashawn McRae, who is accused of shooting a police officer during an early morning confrontation on Monday.
According to the West Palm Beach Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Baker Drive around 2:00 a.m. following reports of a disturbance. When they arrived, McRae allegedly opened fire, striking one of the responding officers before fleeing the scene.

The injured officer was rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency care. Officials have not yet released details regarding the officer’s condition.
McRae is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, with brown hair and brown eyes. Police warn that he is armed and extremely dangerous, urging residents not to approach him but to report any sightings immediately.
The ongoing search has prompted collaboration between local police, federal agencies, and K-9 units, with law enforcement canvassing neighborhoods and wooded areas across West Palm Beach in pursuit of the suspect.
