Taliaferro, a gifted storyteller whose razor-sharp humor and infectious personality won over thousands of followers, passed away earlier this week at age 44. While the family has not yet released an official cause of death, the wave of grief that swept across social media in the hours following the news underscored just how deeply he was loved.

“Chris was the funniest person I’ve ever known in real life,” said childhood friend Aliqwan Pack. “Twenty-plus years of friendship, and I still can’t believe I have to type this in the past tense. He was my brother.”
Friends described marathon text threads filled with Michael Jackson videos, relentless Jets memes (despite decades of disappointment), and debates that ranged from religion to the merits of early-2000s St. Louis rap. Even in disagreement, they say, Taliaferro never let a punchline die.
