The Mapleton, Utah community is mourning the loss of Marc Bastian, a beloved son, brother, and friend whose passing has left a deep void in the hearts of many.

Marc was admired for his kindness, generosity, and ability to make others feel valued. Whether through a smile, conversation, or act of service, he had a gift for lifting others and spreading warmth wherever he went.
Family and friends remember Marc as someone who lived with humility and compassion, building strong connections with those around him. His sister, Claire, described him as “one of the most extraordinary souls,” a sentiment echoed by many who knew him.
Marc’s presence brightened gatherings, provided comfort during challenges, and inspired others with his resilience and faith. Those closest to him say his legacy of love and selflessness will continue to guide and inspire.
A viewing will be held Friday, September 26, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Mapleton North Stake Center. A funeral service will follow on Saturday, September 27, with a viewing from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. and services beginning at 2:00 p.m. All who knew Marc are invited to attend and celebrate his life.
Though his passing brings sorrow, his memory will remain a source of light, love, and strength for family, friends, and the wider community.
