The Arkansas State Police (ASP) confirmed that the shooting took place around 12:44 a.m. at the intersection of Alabama and Chestnut Streets, leaving Ethan dead and another man hospitalized.
Emergency responders were dispatched after 911 calls reported gunfire in the area. Upon arrival, officers found two men with gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical efforts, Ethan Martin, who had been transported to a nearby hospital, tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by the Lee County Coroner. A second victim, a 27-year-old male, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and transported to Regional One Health in Memphis.
