The Marion community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 65-year-old Rodney M. Milner, who tragically lost his life in a single-vehicle accident early Thursday morning in Greene County.
According to Alabama State Troopers, the crash occurred around 6:00 a.m. on October 30, 2025, along Greene County Road 18 near Swan Lane, roughly four miles north of Demopolis. Authorities reported that Milner was behind the wheel of a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 when the vehicle veered off the road for reasons still under investigation and struck a tree.
The collision caused extensive damage to the truck. Sadly, investigators confirmed that Milner was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division is continuing to examine the circumstances leading up to the incident.
Friends, family, and neighbors in Marion have described Rodney Milner as a dedicated, kindhearted man whose steady presence and good nature touched many lives. His sudden passing has left a void in the hearts of those who knew him best and serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of road safety and seat belt use.
As the investigation continues, the community joins together in remembering Rodney’s life and offering support to his loved ones during this difficult time.
