Miami, FL — The Miami community is grieving the loss of Roman Kasevich, a man whose life combined creativity, humility, and deep spiritual devotion. Roman, originally from Svetlovodsk, Ukraine, studied at Kiev School 314 and later at Hillsong International Leadership College in Sydney, Australia, where he cultivated his passion for worship and leadership.
Over the years, Roman served as a Worship Pastor and Music Producer at Hillsong Church and later co-founded Ursa Digital, contributing as a producer and marketing consultant. He also worked with Amazon.com as a marketing consultant, leaving a mark on both the music and digital industries. Despite residing in Los Angeles, Roman maintained close ties to Miami and the global communities he influenced through his mentorship, music, and innovation.
Roman’s father described him as “born for greatness, but lived without pride or pretense,” reflecting a life dedicated to service, family, and faith. A devoted husband and father to five boys, Roman was celebrated for his patience, love, and guidance, inspiring those around him with his integrity and warmth.
A musical polymath, Roman could play nearly every instrument, channeling life’s challenges into art that uplifted others. Yet, he never sought the spotlight, instead seeking God’s presence and living worship in every action. Roman passed away peacefully during Rosh Hashanah, a moment his family views as spiritually significant.
His legacy of creativity, faith, mentorship, and love leaves a lasting impact on all who knew him. Roman Kasevich will be remembered as a devoted father, husband, artist, and spiritual guide, whose life and work touched communities across the world.
