Milwaukee, WI – Authorities are investigating a tragic shooting that claimed the life of 15-year-old Azoria R. Jones, who was found dead late Sunday night on a Milwaukee sidewalk.

Police say the incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. near North 76th Street and West Silver Spring Drive. Officers responding to the scene discovered Jones with a gunshot wound. Despite emergency efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Monday, the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Jones’ identity. Her death marks the 105th homicide in the city so far in 2025, according to police records.
Detectives are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No details regarding suspects or a possible motive have been released at this time.
