MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — The Minneapolis community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Liberty Borg, who was killed on Thursday, September 4, 2025, when a fleeing carjacking suspect crashed into her vehicle in north Minneapolis. Her young child, who was also in the car at the time, survived the collision and remains hospitalized with injuries.

Authorities said the suspect was driving recklessly through city streets while attempting to escape police when the crash occurred, bringing a sudden and violent end to Borg’s life and leaving her family devastated.
