The Mobile, Alabama community is in mourning following the sudden and tragic death of 18-year-old Li Trez, whose promising future was tragically cut short in a fatal two-vehicle crash on Friday, November 7, 2025. Li’s life, filled with ambition and hope, was ended too soon, leaving family, friends, and the entire community heartbroken.
The accident occurred around 7:15 a.m. on U.S. Highway 43, approximately five miles south of Linden, when Li’s 2006 Lexus ES330 collided head-on with a 2017 Volkswagen Jetta driven by 53-year-old Lashandra S. Bell of Gainesville. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene, shattering the lives of their families in an instant.
Li was known to all who knew him as a bright, kind-hearted young man with a future full of potential. Despite his young age, Li’s energy, ambition, and kindness left an indelible mark on those around him. He was the kind of person who greeted life with a smile, eager to help others and always thinking about ways to improve the lives of those he loved. His friends, teachers, and classmates from Mobile described him as someone who worked tirelessly toward his goals, often going out of his way to lend a hand or offer a word of encouragement.
For his family, the loss is indescribable. Li was more than just a son and brother — he was a vital part of their world, and his sudden death has left an irreplaceable void. His family will never get to experience the milestones they had hoped for, the graduations, birthdays, and simple everyday moments that will now never come to pass.
As the community grapples with the loss of this extraordinary young man, Li’s loved ones are finding comfort in the memories he left behind — his infectious laugh, his selfless nature, and the joy he spread wherever he went. The sorrow is deep, but so is the gratitude for the time they had with him, however brief.
Though Li’s life was tragically cut short, his spirit and the love he gave will live on forever. He touched the lives of countless people, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him. The Mobile community will forever hold him in their hearts.
Rest in peace, Li Trez. Gone too soon, but your memory will never fade, and you will forever be loved and remembered by your family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to know you.
