Authorities have identified Robert Allen Rustay, 65, of New Cumberland, as the motorcyclist who died in a multi-vehicle collision Tuesday morning in Lemoyne Borough.
The crash happened just after 7:30 a.m. near the intersection of South Third and Clark Streets, involving two cars and a motorcycle. Emergency crews rushed to the scene, but Rustay was tragically pronounced dead on-site.
Investigators confirmed that one individual has been taken into custody on suspicion of impairment. The Pennsylvania State Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash, which left parts of the roadway blocked for hours as crews worked to extinguish flames from the wrecked vehicles.
For neighbors, the sound of the violent collision was both shocking and heartbreaking. Many described Robert not only as a familiar face but also as a kind father, loyal friend, and valued member of the New Cumberland community.
His sudden loss has left loved ones and neighbors reeling, yet they say his memory will endure through the warmth, compassion, and joy he shared during his life.
As the investigation continues, the community gathers in grief—remembering Robert for the life he lived, not the tragedy that took him away.
