MT. JULIET, Tenn. – The Mt. Juliet community is mourning the loss of Candice Michelle “Candi” Young, who passed away on September 20, 2025, at the age of 59.
Born and raised in Tennessee, Candi was known for her warm personality, compassion, and love for family. A 1984 graduate of Dupont High School, she spent much of her career working in the insurance industry, where she was respected for her dedication and professionalism.
Outside of work, she lived a full and vibrant life. She enjoyed traveling, singing, dancing, cooking, gardening, and spending quality time with her loved ones. Friends and family remember her as a joyful, kindhearted woman who brought light and laughter wherever she went.
Candi was the daughter of the late Jewell Coles and Alta Creasy Coles. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Pamela Gann and Mary Nelle Hardee, and her former husband, Mark Young.
She is survived by her daughter, Deanna Browning; grandson, Jagger Browning; son-in-law, Jansen Browning; siblings, Linda (Bill) Tune, Teresa McClure Smith, and Chris Coles; as well as several nieces and nephews who will continue to honor her memory.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Bond Memorial Chapel in Mt. Juliet. In keeping with her lively spirit, guests are encouraged to wear band T-shirts or colorful clothing to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or True Rescue in Mt. Juliet in Candi’s memory.
Candice “Candi” Young will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was filled with laughter, music, and kindness.
