The small town of Muldraugh, Kentucky, is grieving after the tragic loss of 24-year-old Joseph White, who died in a car crash on Monday morning, November 10, 2025. The accident occurred in the 20000 block of Dixie Highway (Hwy 31-W) in West Point, Hardin County, and was caused by slick road conditions due to inclement weather.
According to the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, White lost control of his 2000 Ford Ranger while driving on the weather-affected roadway. The vehicle crossed into the opposite lane, where it collided with a southbound 2024 Toyota Camry driven by 24-year-old Robert Vinegar of Louisville. The impact caused a third vehicle to strike the Camry.

Joseph White was rushed to University of Louisville Hospital, but despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Vinegar sustained life-threatening injuries and is receiving ongoing medical care. The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office Reconstruction Unit confirmed that the slippery road conditions played a significant role in the crash.
Joseph is being remembered by family, friends, and neighbors as a vibrant, generous young man whose laughter and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. Known for his willingness to help others, his untimely death has left a deep sorrow in Muldraugh and the surrounding areas.
