
Natchitoches, LA – Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Saturday evening on the 1800 block of South Drive, leaving 58-year-old Eric Jackson dead and a 53-year-old woman facing serious charges.
According to the Natchitoches Police Department (NPD), officers responded to reports of gunfire around 8:55 p.m. on October 25. Upon arrival, Jackson was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate aid from officers and emergency responders, he was later pronounced deceased by the Natchitoches Parish Coroner’s Office.
During the ongoing investigation, Stephanie Walker, also of Natchitoches, allegedly admitted responsibility for the shooting. She was detained, interviewed by detectives, and later charged with second-degree murder, being booked into the LaSalle Corrections – Natchitoches Detention Center.
Police collected evidence at the scene and executed a search warrant on a nearby residence linked to the case. Authorities have not yet released information regarding a possible motive.
