One Dead, Three Injured in Palmdale Hit-and-Run Crash; Two Suspects Arrested

Palmdale, CA – A fatal hit-and-run crash in Palmdale on Friday evening left one man dead and three others injured, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred around 5:10 p.m. on September 19 near Avenue N and 22nd Street West. Authorities said a 25-year-old man driving a 2008 Mercedes-Benz westbound attempted to pass another vehicle using the north shoulder.

The driver lost control, swerving into the eastbound lanes where the Mercedes struck a 2021 Lexus IS and a 2022 Honda HR-V. A 31-year-old Lancaster man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three other people sustained moderate to major injuries and were transported to Antelope Valley Medical Center for treatment.

The driver of the Mercedes, identified as 25-year-old K. Littiz, and his passenger, 22-year-old K. Wright, both from Compton, fled the scene but were later arrested and booked into the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station.

Investigators believe the suspects may have been involved in another collision shortly before the deadly crash. CHP also noted that impairment is suspected to have played a role.

The case remains under investigation.
