Blackwell, 44, who was known by his stage name B-Green, was described by loved ones as a devoted father and a respected music entrepreneur with deep ties to Atlanta’s East Lake Meadows neighborhood. His longtime friend and manager, Timothy Coleman, expressed shock over the autopsy results. “I just couldn’t believe it was 17 times in the back,” Coleman said. “There’s not one shot in the front.” The revelation has raised new questions about the events leading up to Blackwell’s death, leaving his loved ones searching for answers.

However, Coleman disputes the GBI’s account, asserting that Blackwell was chased down and shot without justification. “The officer chased him down and gunned him down,” Coleman said. He believes the number of shots fired indicates that Blackwell was not facing Walker and posed no threat. “If he wasn’t pointing a gun at you, why shoot him 17 times in the back?” Coleman questioned.
While Coleman expressed respect for law enforcement, given his military background, he is adamant that accountability is necessary in this case. “Gerald Walker needs to be behind bars,” he said.
