Born in San Antonio and raised in Houston, Malik discovered his love for the stage during his senior year at Hightower High School, when he played Uncle Henry in The Wiz. That single role ignited a passion that carried him through more than a decade of devotion to acting. With natural talent and relentless discipline, Malik built a career defined by creativity, excellence, and heart.
He went on to graduate Cum Laude from Texas State University in 2020 with a BFA in Acting and a minor in Mass Communications. His academic achievements, which included induction into the Council of Scholars, reflected his belief in balancing artistry with intellectual growth.
A Rising Star
Malik’s talent flourished in graduate school, where he earned his MFA from the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale University in 2024. He made his professional debut in Choir Boy at the Yale Repertory Theatre and received numerous honors, including 1st Place in the National Society of Arts and Letters Drama Competition (2023) and the CBCF Performing Arts Scholarship (2023).
