Perry County, TN — A tragic accident on Tuesday morning claimed the life of 29-year-old Andrew Maxwell. The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) reported that the crash occurred around 8:30 a.m. along Highway 412.
According to investigators, Maxwell was driving a dump truck eastbound when he failed to navigate a curve, causing the vehicle to overturn and come to rest in the roadway. Emergency crews responded quickly, but Maxwell was pronounced dead at the scene.

The THP’s preliminary report indicated that Maxwell was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. No other vehicles were involved, and no additional injuries were reported.
Highway 412 remained closed for several hours while officers and first responders cleared the scene and conducted a detailed investigation. Traffic was temporarily rerouted as crews removed the overturned vehicle and debris.
