According to the Bansud Municipal Police Station (MPS), led by PMAJ Clyde B. Kalyawen, the victim has been identified as Elmar Sumo, a resident of Barangay Poblacion. Initial findings revealed that Sumo was traveling with his wife in a Toyota Fortuner when a lone gunman suddenly appeared and opened fire at their vehicle.

To ensure a thorough and impartial investigation, PMAJ Kalyawen has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) dedicated to gathering evidence, pursuing leads, and ensuring the suspect is brought to justice.
“The suspect has been identified, and we are exhausting all means to bring him to justice. We will not rest until the truth is uncovered and justice is served,” said PMAJ Kalyawen.
The Bansud Police have reassured residents that the situation is under control and urged the public to avoid spreading unverified information that may hinder the investigation. Instead, they encourage citizens to report credible leads that could aid in the swift resolution of the case.
