Port St. John Mourns the Loss of Lendzi Lakeman, 28, in Tragic Domestic Shooting
PORT ST. JOHN, FL — The community of Port St. John is grappling with the devastating loss of 28-year-old Lendzi Lakeman, whose life was tragically taken on Sunday, November 16, 2025. Lendzi was shot multiple times during a domestic-related incident in the 7000 block of Carlow Avenue just after 12:15 p.m. Despite swift life-saving efforts from deputies, she was pronounced dead at the scene, leaving family, friends, and the community shattered by her sudden and senseless death.

Authorities quickly identified Lendzi’s boyfriend, 23-year-old Tyjah Bellinger, as the suspected shooter. After an extensive search across the area, deputies located Bellinger at a residence on Dallas Avenue, where he was taken into custody without incident. Following the investigation, Bellinger was charged with 1st Degree Premeditated Murder and is being held at the Brevard County Jail without bond.
