A 66-year-old man, Aurelio Zhunio-Orbez, was found dead in the Croton Falls Reservoir on December 7, 2025, sparking a homicide investigation by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office. Zhunio-Orbez, a resident of Danbury, Connecticut, had been reported missing by his family on December 1, 2025.
The investigation revealed that Zhunio-Orbez’s black Toyota Sienna livery cab was stolen following his murder. The vehicle, displaying “ORBESTAXI.COM” and “V89” on the rear, is a key piece of evidence.
