Rapid City Man Killed in Interstate 90 Crash, Another Critically Injured
Rapid City, SD – The Rapid City community is mourning the tragic loss of 43-year-old Brandon Lee Ice, who died in a serious crash on Interstate 90 on October 21, 2025.

Authorities report that Ice’s westbound vehicle crossed the median approximately two miles west of Rapid City and collided with another vehicle driven by 43-year-old Jason Emsley Nisen of Box Elder. Emergency responders arrived quickly, but Ice was pronounced dead at the scene. Nisen was transported to a Rapid City hospital with life-threatening injuries and is receiving care.
