The St. Louis community is mourning the loss of Thomas Lorenz, a 7th-grade student at SSP, who passed away after a brave and tireless fight with leukemia. Thomas, affectionately known as “Super Thomas,” was the cherished son of Joe Lorenz and SSP kindergarten teacher CarolAnne Renick Lorenz, and the beloved brother of John, Cora, and Lucy. He was also deeply loved by his grandparents, Diana and Rick Sollmann, Joan and Tim Lorenz, and his many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Despite his battle with illness, Thomas’s spirit remained unshaken. His intelligence, kindness, and infectious wit left an indelible mark on everyone who crossed his path. Friends, family, and even strangers who followed his journey were continually inspired by his resilience, courage, and the radiant positivity he shared with others, even during the most difficult moments.
