RICHMOND, VA – The community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of Khyrie Bright, 18, of Chester, Virginia, who died Tuesday evening, September 30, 2025, following a shooting in the Mosby Court neighborhood.
At approximately 6:12 p.m., Richmond Police responded to reports of a person down in the 1500 block of Coalter Street. Officers arrived to find Khyrie suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but despite the efforts of medical staff, he tragically succumbed to his injuries. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has confirmed his passing and will determine the official cause and manner of death.
