RICHMOND, VA — The city of Richmond is mourning the tragic loss of 39-year-old Echenique Nicholas A. Ozimisa, who passed away on Tuesday evening, November 4, 2025, in a devastating crash along Interstate 95 near the 37-mile marker in Prince George County. According to the Virginia State Police, Ozimisa’s vehicle, a 2010 Mazda MZ3, veered off the road while traveling northbound, crossed the median, and collided head-on with a southbound tractor-trailer.
The crash occurred at approximately 7:45 p.m., when Ozimisa’s car left the roadway, entered the median, and crossed into the opposing lanes, leading to the fatal collision. Despite being properly strapped in, Ozimisa was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver involved in the crash was uninjured. Investigators are continuing to determine the exact cause of the crash and whether any other factors were involved.
