San Diego Teen Injured in Shooting Near Middle School, Police Investigating
San Diego, CA — Authorities are investigating a shooting in the Chollas View neighborhood that left an 18-year-old injured and prompted a temporary lockdown at a local middle school on Tuesday afternoon.

San Diego Police say officers responded shortly before 1 p.m. to reports of gunfire in the 1000 block of 47th Street, near Gompers Preparatory Academy. As a safety precaution, the school was immediately placed on lockdown while officers searched the area for the suspect.
