SATELLITE BEACH – Students and staff at Satellite High School experienced a tense afternoon today when the campus was placed under a precautionary lockdown following reports of possible suspicious activity nearby.
The alert came in just after noon, prompting administrators to immediately secure all classrooms and common areas. Satellite Beach Police and Brevard County Sheriff’s deputies responded quickly, arriving on scene within minutes to conduct a complete sweep of the buildings and grounds.
