Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal hit-and-run crash in Harbor City as 35-year-old Sergio Maya, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The deadly collision occurred around 12:55 p.m. on September 25 along Pacific Coast Highway near Western Avenue.
Investigators say a silver van traveling westbound on PCH attempted a turn in front of an eastbound motorcycle, causing the two vehicles to collide. The impact threw the motorcyclist off balance, and he was then struck by an older-model pickup truck also traveling westbound.
Despite life-saving efforts by paramedics, Maya was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both the van and pickup truck drivers fled without stopping, and the Los Angeles Police Department is actively searching for the suspects.
