SUPPORT THE FAMILY - GOD BLESS YOU

Emergency crews were called around 6:50 p.m. to the 4000 block of Taylor Avenue, where Johnson was found with fatal injuries. Investigators believe she may have fallen from her horse, though the exact cause of death has not yet been determined.

“At this time, it is unclear whether the fall was the cause of her passing or if a medical event occurred,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.

In a solemn show of respect, law enforcement officers escorted Johnson’s body to the Sonoma County Coroner’s Office in a procession honoring her service. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the official cause of death.

“This tragic loss is felt deeply by the sheriff’s office, Deputy Johnson’s loved ones, and the entire Sonoma County community,” officials added. “We ask for compassion and support as we grieve together, and we encourage everyone to keep her family, friends, and colleagues in their thoughts during this difficult time.”
